The plan is to have 30 participants for Saturday 26th of November from 18:00 to 20:00.
We will have a TOURNAMENT !! There will be six teams of five people each. You will be able to play three times, around 10 minutes per hour.
There will be a fee of 5 €, the rest of the rental fees will be covered by the Tenants' committee.

In order to sign-up, you shouldnt send your name and address to yokyla.ita@gmail.com. Refer the email with "Bubble soccer" (by priority mail to the arrival order). THE SIGN-UP WILL START ON MONDAY 7TH OF NOVEMBER AT 24:00 midday.

NOTICE: Player recommended minimum length of 140 cm and a maximum weight of 100 kg.
You need to dress a standard exercise equipment:
T-Shirt, Shorts or pants sports and sneakers.

Events policy

When you attend/register for an event, it is considered that you have read the policy and you are agree with the terms and conditions.

Rules and regulations.

1. Events where the sign-up is binding:

• Only one person can be registered per e-mail.
• Priority by mail arrival order.
• For each registration, the subject of the e-mail should be the name of the event.
• Your name and address should be included in the registration.  
• The number of participants can be changed according to the coordinator of the event.
• If you register but do not appear to the event and do not notify the event coordinator about your cancellation; you are still considered as you have attended. Therefore in future events new people will be prioritised. Remember that you can always cancel your participation to the event coordinator, however in advance.

2. Events at the common room

• It is mandatory to clearly indicate the name of the person in charge of the event, to be contacted for any logistics and /or administrative issues.
• The common room should be cleaned after each use. The maintenance and cleanliness of the common room should be checked by the person in charge, optionally other committee members can assist.

Changes and cancellation policy

• Some of the events may be weather-dependent and therefore might be cancelled in case of bad weather.
• In case of cancellation, we will try to move it to another day.
• If you want to cancel your participation to the event, please inform the event coordinator via e-mail in advance.

Purpose. Events are special opportunities to meet your neighbours and  to enjoy the activities that Turku offers. Some events are open only to members of the student village east community. At others, also members of the west side and non-residents of student village are welcome but the member for the east side will always have the priority. For events organised by two or more committees the priority will mentioned in the event.

Tenants (and visitors) attending the events, are expected to treat all others with respect.

Sponsorship. Part of the rent of the tenants is provided by TYS to finance the events. For more expensive events, participants are charged with a small fee.

Event Coordinator. The event coordinator is chosen by the committee, and she/he is in charge of organizing the events with bigger budgets (>100€). Under the approval of the tenant committee, the event coordinator oversees all arrangements for certain assigned events and also provides advice and guidance for others who want to organize events. Any willing tenant can organize events. Events with fixed budget do not require the approval of the committee, these fixed budgets are approved by the committee once a year.

Budgetary Arrangements. The budget needed for the event, is chosen by the tenant committee in the regular meetings. There are events with fixed budgets*:

*It can change according to the annual tenants committee decisions.

After the event the amount spent should be registered in our system to keep a record.

Publicity. All the tenants committee events should be published in the facebook group “Asukastoimikunta YO-kylä itä/ Student Village East” through the tenant committee’s profile “Yo-itä SV-East Vänner”, on the blog and on the google calendar at least one week in advance. For events with bigger budgets (>100€), the publicity should be longer to give all the tenants the opportunity to join.

Insurance. In case of accidents and medical emergencies, you are liable for your own health insurance.

Do not hesitate in contacting the tenant committee for any question you may have.

Ylioppilaskylän itäpuolen asukastoimikunnan kokous 19.10.2016


1. Kokouksen avaus
- Kokous avattiin ajassa 19.47

2. Uuden asukastoimikunnan työnjako
- Kerhohuoneen varauksista huolehtija: tehtävänä pitää silmällä sähköpostia ja antaa tarvittaessa vierasavain varaajille, pyytää pantti, merkata tapahtuma kalenteriin sekä huolehtia kerhohuoneen siisteydestä. Srikar ottaa tehtävän hoitaakseen
- Päätettiin yksimielisesti että tapahtumavastaavana jatkaa Shuyana
- Päätettiin että Mio on ensisijainen vuokraesineistä huolehtija, mutta muut hoitavat myös hommaa tarpeen mukaan
- Rahastonhoitajan tehtävänä on tarkkailla varojen kulutusta ja päivittää tilannnetta kokouksissa

3. Kulttuuritapahtumat
- GB ehdotti väittelyfoorumin järjestämistä, hän ottaa mahdollisesti yhteyttä eri järjestöihin ja palaa sitten tarvittaessa asiaan asukastoimikunnan kanssa
- Hän myös ilmoitti olevansa käytettävissä muita kulttuuritapahtumia varten

4. Päätökset
- Todettiin että päätös on pätevä vain kun se on tehty kokouksessa ja kirjattu pöytäkirjaan
- Whatsapp-ryhmä on tarkoitettu käytännön asioita, kuten vuokraesineistä huolehtimista varten. Siellä ei ole tarkoitus keskustella päätöksistä, etenkään rahaan liittyvistä, vaan nämä asiat hoidetaan kokouksissa.

5. Avaimet
- Elvis on jättänyt avaimensa TYS:lle, päätettiin että Srikar voi hakea sen itselleen

6. Vuosibudjetti
- TYS:in arvio käytetystä rahasta ja toimikunnan omat laskelmat eivät täsmää
- Asiaa selvitetään
- Painotetaan on aina kirjoitettava Driveen kun rahaa on käytetty

7. Uusi tietokone
- Vanha tietokone on vanha ja todella hidas, päätettiin että hankitaan uusi
- Sihteeri ja varasihteeri ottavat selvää mahdollisista tietokonemalleista ja tekevät asiasta esityksen seuraavaan kokoukseen
- Koneen tulisi olla suhteellisen halpa perusmalli, jolla on hyvä kirjoittaa ja jossa on liitännät projektoreita varten

8. Bunkkerin internetyhteys
- Mio ottaa asiasta selvää seuraavaan kokoukseen

9. Bussikortti
- Bussikortti on ostettu ja rahat tulleet takaisin TYS:iltä ja asiat ovat hyvin
- Kortti on tarkoitettu toimikunnan jäsenten käyttöön tapahtumien järjestämiseen liittyvissä asioisssa
- Kortin mahdollisesta uusimisesta päätetään erikseen kunhan kortin nykyinen saldo on käytetty

10. Bunkkerin siivousoperaatio
- Mio selvittää asiaa seuraavaan kokoukseen mennessä

11. Uusi sohva
- Palataan asiaan loppuvuodesta kun rahatilanne selkenee

12. Tapahtumat
- Päätettiin järjestää 2 kiipeilytapahtumaa, budjetti 2x200e= 400e
- 6 kertaa Escape room, kolmesti kahdessa eri huoneessa, = 6x60e = 360e
- Super park 240e, tapahtuman järjestäminen vielä epävarma

13. Tapahtumien järjestämiseen ja osallistumiseen liittyvät säännöt
- Mio tiedusteli mitä mieltä TYS on mahdollisesta toimintaperiaatteesta tapahtumiin osallistumiseen yms. Liittyen. TYS vastasi ettei sellaiseen ole hyvä sisällyttää rangaistuksia
- Säännöt julkaistaan blogissa ja asiaa käsitellään myöhemmissä kokouksissa

- Päätettiin maksaa uudet ruuvimeisselit 40 euroa, flow park 170 euroa (toinen puoli maksettiin länsipuolelta), tervetulojuhlat 200 euroa ja asukaskokouksen ruoat n. 100 euroa

Student Village East, Annual Tenant meeting 4.10.2016

Suurin osa mediastamme on englanniksi sillä suuri osa osanottajistamme ovat ulkomaalaisia:

The Tenant Meeting assigns the local Tenant Committee members and is a legally assigned decision-making, democratic entity. For the purposes of elections, every household has one vote (shared flat roommates all have their own vote).

The annual meeting is a great chance to meet your neighbours, learn about the tenants committee activities and share experiences, complaints and ideas. We are continuously organizing events (climbing, bowling, bubble soccer, grilling etc.) which are mostly free for all tenants and we take care of rental items and the common room reservations. Because each year, members of the committee move out, we need new members to keep everything on going.

Did you know that part of your rent is provided by TYS to finance the events?

So become a member and create your own events or share your ideas how this money should be used!

Do you have any complaints or suggestions what should be changed or improved in student village east? So join our meeting and take the chance to talk to a TYS representative directly.
